THROUGH SITE-SPECIFIC RESIDENCIES, EMBODIED RESEARCH, and COLLABORATIVE INQUIRY, we bring together ARTISTS, CULTURAL PRACTITIONERS, and RESEARCHERS who work at the intersection of PERFORMING ARCHITECTURES, NEUROSCIENCE, and EMERGING ECOLOGICAL THINKING.
What we do
LATOMEIO PROJECT is a physical & virtual space for performing ARTs, directed by the multidisciplinary artist Eleni Danesi.
It is inspired by the history and the memories of an old abandoned QUARRY (=λατομείο/latomeío, in Greek) in Leonidio GREECE.
We experiment within the wildness of sensorial and embodied spatial experiences and new technologies, using references from literature, philosophy, architecture, somatics, neuroscience, psychoanalysis, physics, biology, geology, anthropology, in the search for new planetary interspecies ecologies.
